Born to a Canadian Ice Capades skater and a Portuguese father, Marisa grew up immersed in a vibrant, multicultural environment, which has greatly influenced her artistic vision. As a competitive ice skater, she learned the value of dedication and creativity, values she carries into her jewelry design today. Her travels around the world and experiences living in diverse cultures have deepened her appreciation for beauty in all forms.

Marisa graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and spent a decade in the fashion industry in NYC, honing her skills in design, styling and sales. Throughout her life, she's admired her mother and grandmothers for their stunning collections of gold, beautiful stones—especially turquoise—and meaningful charms, which inspired her own designs. Now based in Raleigh, NC with her husband and two daughters, Marisa channels her passion for music, art, and vintage aesthetics into crafting unique semi-precious jewelry pieces that resonate with the heart.
